When creating an animated GIF the time and frame-rate should be automatically chosen so that the GIF can repeat without anyone noticing it has ended and restarted.

The add animation window has a button for addons but even after looking on the website I couldn't find any. What is this referencing?

be able to import multiple images and create my own animation with my own images, and not necessarily using 1 image and your animations.

Render as Animated PNG

Gif renderer creates visual artifacts. An animated PNG would not make these. A good layer management would also help reduce the overall image size.

Also, to be able to create (and save) as animated .gif with transparent background ... even when you change the background to a blank .png, it still makes it on a black background (even when saving).

Agree about the tramsparacy issue. I used a transparant .png and no ability to choose a transparant background which make it kind of useless for a website. Also and this is a biggy....output either needs better optimization. A 659 X 166 animated .gif

Be able to build an AVI file from my own files from scratch using a sequence numbering scheeme for frames like 000,001,002,003 ,etc...

have more choices in Resolution, especially with the latest HD formats. In eg. 1920x1080p at minimum. Having the ability to add it to movies and using thme as transitions for editing would be a very nice touch and feature.
